Ulster University, formerly known as the New University of Ulster, was founded in 1968 and is one of Northern Ireland's largest universities. It has one of the highest rates of further education and employment in the UK. It's also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the European University Association, and Universities Ireland, and many others.
By itself, it's one of the four local campuses in Northern Ireland, and is informally referred to as UUJ by people and students. The university was previously the location of the Ulster College of Physical Education. Many subjects linked to sports sciences and coaching all have a major presence on the campus including: business, engineering, construction, social sciences (including law), communication, etc. The Sports Institute of Northern Ireland, a collaboration between the university and Sport Northern Ireland, is based there, and most of Northern Ireland's finest athletes train there.
Ulster University - Jordanstown Campus offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses that can be full-time, part-time, or Short courses and CPD.
