Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland, located on the River Lagan. Belfast quickly grew into a global industrial centre throughout history, famously known as the place where the RMS Titanic was designed and built. The city’s history is rich with maritime and linen manufacturing, which you can see in its Victorian architecture and landmarks like the Titanic Belfast museum.
The city has transformed significantly to become a vibrant, modern hub with a welcoming feel. Today, Belfast is an increasingly popular place for university students, offering a lower cost of living than many other UK cities, a lively arts scene, and institutions like Queen's University Belfast.
