When do I need to pay the deposit?
The deposit must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice. Your application will only be processed once the deposit has been received.
What happens if I do not pay the deposit on time?
If the deposit is not received by the invoice due date, your application may be cancelled.
When will I receive my placement and host family details?
Program confirmation, host family information, and other placement details will be provided after the required payments have been received.
When is the final balance due?
The remaining balance must be paid at least 60 days before your scheduled arrival date.
What happens if I miss a payment deadline?
Failure to make payments according to the invoice terms may result in the cancellation of your application and additional cancellation fees may apply.
Cancellation Policy
Is there a cancellation fee?
Yes. A $200 cancellation fee applies to all approved refunds.
Can I get a refund if my study permit or visitor visa is refused?
Yes. If your visa application is refused by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, you may receive a partial refund of the placement fee ($250) and a full refund of the homestay fees. You must provide an official visa refusal letter when requesting a refund.
What happens if I cancel more than 60 days before arrival?
You will receive a refund of eligible fees, minus the non-refundable service fees, including placement and custodian fees.
What happens if I cancel 30-59 days before arrival?
You will receive a refund minus two months of accommodation fees and any non-refundable service fees.
What happens if I cancel 7-29 days before arrival?
You will receive a refund minus three months of accommodation fees and any non-refundable service fees.
What happens if I cancel within 6 days of arrival?
All fees become non-refundable if you cancel between 0 and 6 days before your arrival date.
Can I receive a refund after I have arrived?
Refund eligibility after arrival depends on the circumstances and the length of your booking. Long-term participants may be eligible for a partial refund if they provide two months' written notice, while short-term participants are generally not eligible for refunds.
Will I receive a refund if I am removed from the programme?
No. Participants who are required to leave the program due to violations of program rules, laws, or regulations are not entitled to a refund.
Are refunds available for medical or exceptional circumstances?
Refund requests related to medical or other exceptional circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Supporting documentation will be required.
Can I change my host family?
Yes, but a relocation service fee will apply if you request to move to a different host family.
